Strong governance principals 

The corporate governance section sets out the main elements of the Group's corporate governance structure and how it complies with the 2018 UK Corporate Governance Code.

The Group is led and controlled by the Board which is collectively responsible for the long-term sustainable success of the Group, generating value for shareholders and contributing to wider society. The Board establishes the Group’s purpose, values and strategy and satisfies itself that these are aligned with its culture. The Board has delegated certain responsibilities to committees to assist in discharging its duties and the implementation of matters approved by the Board.
